Becoming a Spiritual Warrior

I think the world needs more Spiritual Warriors. Did I just write the word “warrior?” Yes, that’s right. Heart-centered, peace loving, light shining lady here is advocating becoming a spiritual warrior. The emphasis is on spiritual as I am not promoting violence and fighting. Rather, I’m suggesting that we develop the strength, vision, power and conviction of a warrior. But rather than fighting battles on the field, as Spiritual Warriors we put our strength and passion to work in the political system, business world, school systems, and our own homes.

The recent election and issues in the world today have rocked many off center. I see and hear a lot of fear and negativity on the streets and in social media from those who desperately wish to create a better world. The fear and negativity are coming from feeling powerless, disheartened, frustrated, and confused about how to effectively create positive change. But a vibration of fear and negativity will not create a world of love and light. Only love and light can do that.

Therefore, I’m suggesting we consider becoming Spiritual Warriors. Warriors are strong, powerful, loyal, steadfast in their quest and vision, and effective. They are not easily shaken or frightened. SPIRITUAL Warriors are grounded in the Spirit, God, the Divine. Spiritual Warriors train and connect with Spirit daily, not just when things go wrong. This spiritual “training”  helps them build a strong foundation and practice so they are not easily discouraged or frightened when great challenges appear. If something occurs in their environment that does not resonate with their vision of love and light, it only makes them more resolved and determined to bring love and light into the world. When challenges appear, they turn to Spirit for inspiration and direction and then they take bold, inspired action to help build a world of peace, love, equal rights, and freedom for all to pursue their dreams.
