Look What I Found Thanks To An Angel

Sometimes we all need a little reminder to welcome delight back into our lives.

I received my reminder in a gem of book entitled “The Gentle Way” by Tom T. Moore. The book is an invitation and a mini manual on how to reconnect with one’s guardian angel.

It was also an affirmation of the messages I’ve channeled from angels while doing intuitive readings for my clients. The angels repeatedly encourage my clients to ask for their help with everything, not just the big things, but the small everyday things too. They want to help us experience more ease, grace and joy. We were gifted with free will so they can’t help unless we ask them to.

Despite this, I often forget to ask for angelic support, especially for the little things.

Saturday morning I remembered to ask.  At Mr. Moore’s suggestion I prayed to my guardian angel, “I request a most benevolent outcome for my walk this morning, and may be the benefits be even more than I expect or can anticipate. Thank you.”

Later that morning, I picked up my friend Christian and we headed to Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA for a walk in the woods. It was a hot and muggy morning as we meandered the state park trails. At one point, we climbed down to explore the boulders along the river and then back up again to the main trail. Farther down this trail, where the path skirts high along the embanking of the Merrimack River, I found a large Bald Eagle feather!

I collect found feathers and finding an eagle feather ranks tops on my list. The Eagle is also one of my totem animals and I’ve had many significant encounters with them. This was an extra special discovery for sure. I also knew that finding this feather was the answer to my earlier prayer, and whispered a delighted “thank you” to my angel for this “most benevolent outcome.”

As I walked, I wondered at the possibility of finding another feather, that would surely be “more than I expect or could anticipate.” I started to chastise myself for being greedy, surely a huge Bald Eagle feather was more than enough? Truly it was! But then I remembered that the Universe is infinitely abundant, so why am I limiting myself? And, so I prayed, “If it’s for the highest good, let me find another feather as sign of the Universe’s abundance.”

A few trails later, I found a small Great Horned Owl feather on the ground. How I spotted this feather, when it’s the same colors as the aged pine needles and leafy debris that was surrounding it, is a marvel itself. After much research, I learned it’s definitely an owl feather. Owl feathers are identified by the ‘fraying” of the feather’s edges. This fraying is lacking in other bird’s feathers and it’s what allows the owl to fly silently in the dark so it can catch its prey by surprise. A seriously cool find!

Now, as you can see below, I have two amazing new feathers to add to my collection: a Bald Eagle feather and Great Horned Owl feather.

More importantly, I have wonderful confirmation that my guardian angel is here to help me experience more delight as well!

I hope this inspires you to ask your guardian angel to help you not only with problems, but also with adding more joy and delight to your day. Although there’s no right or wrong way to pray, you might start with Mr. Moore’s suggested prayer:

“I REQUEST A MOST BENEVOLENT OUTCOME FOR __________________________, AND MAY THE BENEFITS BE EVEN MORE THAN I EXPECT OR CAN ANTICIPATE. THANK YOU.”

Wishing you an expectedly delightful day,
