Breezy
I have an odd history with goats. When I was young we got a goat because my sister liked them and Mom liked having the goat’s milk for the litters of puppies we had. They kept the horses company too. While I loved taking care of our horses, I had mixed feelings about the goats. Yes, they were cute but they could also be super stubborn - and they got into trouble.
One day when was out sunbathing on our back lawn, I discovered that our goat, Breezy had fallen through the well house into our dug well. I had to call the fire department to get her out. As a result, for weeks afterwards, people would come up to me at the pharmacy where I worked. “Dear, I heard about your goat, how is it doing?”
How did they know? They knew because apparently a lot of people in small towns have police and fire scanners! Anyhow, I was embarrassed for being notorious for having a goat, and would quickly clarify that Breezy WAS NOT MY GOAT, she was my sister’s goat. And, thanks to my Mom and I nurturing Breezy back to health, she was doing just fine thank you.
The paintinig is just as sweet and colorful as Breezy was.
Spirit Animal Meaning
The Goat represents resistance and opposition, embodying a phase of personality where we struggle against both spiritual forces and our fellow humans. At the same time, goats are associated with resilience, independence, and a connection to nature, symbolizing the ability to overcome challenges and maintain one’s individuality. Ultimately, the the Goat encourages us to embrace our inner strength, face our resistances, and strive for balance and growth in our spiritual journey.
